We got amazing value for our money at Barn Cottage. The room was cozy and comfortable, with handsoaps at every sink and plenty of towels. The location was fine, set on the edge of the beautiful Brecon Beacons. The staff were attentive and gave us great recommendations for places to visit and eat. We felt welcomed on their small working farm, with a focus on sustainability and local produce. Plus, we loved the dog-friendly gated patio!
Menu for breakfast could use a little variety.

The location of the hotel was absolutely stunning, with beautiful views that made for a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The cottage itself was cozy and well-equipped, especially the kitchen which had everything we needed to cook our own meals. Additionally, the warm welcome with fresh coffee, milk, and biscuits was a lovely touch that added to our overall experience.
There were a few things that could be improved. The bathroom had a musty smell and the property could have been cleaned to a better standard.

Relaxing and remote location with stunning views and lovely walks nearby. Beds were really comfortable, and we loved the outdoor terrace. Hugh, the host, was friendly and welcoming. the cottage itself was cosy and well looked after, with everything we needed to keep our two boys entertained. the farm was beautiful and well cared for, with some amazing walks and sights to explore. We also enjoyed the company of the adorable farm dogs, Oscar and Poppy. the surrounding area had lots of things to do and see, including a nearby zoo and the breathtaking Black Mountain Pass.
There was a slight damp/musty smell downstairs, which may bother some guests, although upstairs did not have this issue. the bathroom could benefit from an update, and the microwave and some kitchen utensils needed a deeper clean.

The cottage itself was cozy, clean, and had all the comforts of home. The log burner added a lovely touch to chilly evenings. Hugh, the host, was friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The attention to detail, like fresh flowers and milk in the fridge, made my arrival extra special. The cottage was pet-friendly, which was a bonus as I brought my furry friend along. The information pack provided in the cottage was extremely helpful in planning my daily activities. I can't recommend this place enough. Perfect for a peaceful getaway!

I recently had a wonderful stay at a charming cottage on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. The location was fine, with amazing views and plenty of nature to explore. The cottage itself was cosy and comfortable, with a homely atmosphere, made me feel right at home. I loved the wood-burning stove in the living room, it added that extra touch of warmth and comfort. The owner, Hugh, was friendly and cute, and his dog Oscar was such a delight. The cottage had everything I needed, from comfortable beds to all the necessary amenities. It was the perfect retreat for a relaxing break. Despite a few minor drawbacks like a slightly musty smell downstairs and an outdated bathroom, these were easily overlooked by all the positives. I highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in a fine location.
